What those little stickers on produce mean
Have you ever wondered what those little stickers on the produce in your grocery store mean? There's very important information on them with regard to how the fruits and vegetables were grown. A four digit number means the item has been conventionally grown. A five digit number starting with a 9 means the item has been organically grown. A five digit number starting with an 8 means the item is a genetically modified organisim (GMO). So next time you're at the grocery store choosing produce, pay close attention to the little sticker! |
